PRESCIENCE (Supercomputer platform optimize for Deep learning)

Project information
As NUHS embarks on its digital transformation journey, key enabling infrastructure is required to empower its staff to leverage digital technology such as AI. However, sensitive nature of healthcare data imposes an absolute limitation on the movement of data out of hospital premises.
National Super Computing Centre (NSCC) have been a strong supporter of NUHS in developing AI and other research projects in the last 4 years. They have provided technical advisory in high performance computing and provisioning of compute for research on non-sensitive data.
The proposed compute node is a specialised stack of GPUs built by NVIDIA Inc. which will be added to our existing platform, DISCOVERY AI, and its secure network access. This approach greatly simplifies the deployment of compute onto existing proven infrastructure, and allows for existing internal and external collaborators to securely access this compute via proven access mechanisms.
Successful integration of this compute node would greatly enhance NUHS ability to utilise its data to build more advanced AI models. Once validated, these models can be rapidly deployed on a separate production platform, ENDEAVOUR AI, to effect changes in clinical practice and improve operational efficiency.
